Sub-component 1.5. Communication & Outreach

  • JV of Prokriti-O-Jibon Foundation and Impress Telefilm Limited (Channel i) is contracted as communication and outreach firm.
  • Communication strategy and action plan developed.
  • Necessary steps were taken for mass communication and outreach for forest and wildlife conservation which includes IEC materials, electronic media (3 TVs, 3 radios), social media (10 video documentaries), print media, promotional campaigns, and day observance.
  • Dedicated project website, Facebook account and YouTube channel developed.
  • Utilization of social media (Facebook page), YouTube, website, etc. to enhance public awareness.
  • Days celebrated: Freshwater Dolphin Conservation Day, International Day of Forests, International Vulture Awareness Day, and World Wildlife Day, World Elephant Day, World Migratory Bird Day, Tree Plantation Fortnight.
  • With the assistance of selected firms (Prokriti O Jibon Foundation and Impress Telefilm Limited), various communication channels/ tools/ approaches have been used, leading to awareness-raising programs reaching 3.939 million people so far.
  • First ever Wildlife Olympiad in Bangladesh engaging 103,850 school and college level students has been completed throughout the country’s 64 Districts. The national event held on 9th November 2024 in Dhaka.
