Component-1: Strengthening Institutions, Information Systems and Training

  • The review report of administrative and operational procedures of BFD’s organizational reform proposal including Forest Manual prepared for approval by MoEFCC;
  • FMIS of ODK-based SSP, Community Module, labour database etc. using ICT to plan, manage and monitor collaborative forest and PA management are established and operational;
  • Tissue culture facilities developed in 3 SFNTCs (Chattogram, Gazipur and Jashore) to produce 0.5 lac improved propagules;
  • 2,000 private nursery owners trained on improved nursery technique and 1,000 saw mill owners improved saw mill operations;
  • 3,560 nos. of officers and staffs are offered training for knowledge and skill development including collaborative forest and PA management;
  • Wildlife Center, Gazipur (WC) becomes functional through offering training to 440 officials and staffs on wildlife management and wildlife crime control matters;
  • Prepared Land Cover Maps 2023, National capital mapping and Forest Management Plans;
  • Prepared 2nd Cycle National Forest inventory;
  • An Innovation Grants window created for applied research and technology transfer on forestry and wildlife matters;
  • Largescale communication and outreach program (Forest and Wildlife), video spot development and day observation organized for motivation and awareness building of 20.0 lac people;
