Thirty one\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit; color: var(--ast-global-color-3);\">species are categorised as extinct from the\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit; color: var(--ast-global-color-3);\">country, while 390 species (29% of the total\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit; color: var(--ast-global-color-3);\">species assessed) are under the threatened\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit; color: var(--ast-global-color-3);\">categories (CR, EN and VU). Besides, 17%\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit; color: var(--ast-global-color-3);\">species are as Data Deficient (DD) due to\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit; color: var(--ast-global-color-3);\">lack of appropriate data and information\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit; color: var(--ast-global-color-3);\">required to justify the criteria used for\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit; color: var(--ast-global-color-3);\">categorizing. No such endemic species is\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit; color: var(--ast-global-color-3);\">available in Bangladesh to be assessed at\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit; color: var(--ast-global-color-3);\">the global
